Cavendish Figurines Ltd. is the only place in North America to create heirloom quality figurines inspired by the Great Literary Classics and made in the “old world” European tradition. Co-founders Jeannette Arsenault and Don Maxfield studied throughout Europe and brought these methods home to their beloved Prince Edward Island. “The Anne Collection”, the first in the series, was inspired by Lucy Maud Monntgomery’s timeless classic “Anne of Green Gables”.
Production started on November 27, 1989 in the Summerside Business Park with seven employees. In 1998, a new 17,500 sq. ft facility was built at the foot of the Confederation Bridge and the company now employs 19 people during the busy season.
